- 8 oz. Bitter Chocolate
- ⅓ cup Heavy Cream
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Instant Coffee
- 150 gm. Dark Chocolate
Instructions
- Take chocolate and finely chop it into small pieces. Put in a bowl and keep aside.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until the cream starts simmering.
- Pour the above-prepared cream mixture over the chopped chocolate and stir it continuously until the chocolate is melted and the ganache is smooth. You can also add instant coffee for a more dark taste. Let it chill for 1 hour until the ganache is firm enough to roll.
- Once the ganache is chilled, gently scoop out small tablespoons of it and roll them into balls with your hands. (For an evenly sized truffle use a melon baller)
- Let it chill for 15 mins and smooth it further for a soft touch.
- Take dark chocolate, microwave it for a smoothie texture. Stir it well until the texture is completely shining and dark.
- Now place the above coating in a shallow dish and roll the truffles with a stick to make them completely covered. You can also use white chocolate, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, sprinkles, coconut flakes, or any other topping you like.
