Ingredients
- 100 gram Pretzels
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Sprinkles
Instructions
- First preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (Fahrenheit) and line a 10×15 inch jelly roll pan with nonstick aluminum foil (preferred) or regular heavy-duty foil. Make sure that the foil completely covers the bottom and sides of the pan.
- Place all the pretzels on the base of the dish in an equally distributed manner.
- Put the butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan and melt them on a medium-high flame. Boil it for 5 minutes until it gets caramelized.
- Now slowly pour the above caramel toffee mixture over the pretzels and spread it all over with a spatula smoothly.
- Place it in the oven to bake for 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee. Wait for 5-6 minutes until it completely melts down.
- For a smooth coating use the spatula to spread the melted chocolate. To get an extra cheesy layer you can add the sprinkles or any other extra toppings of your own like.
- Keep it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to harden up. Take it out and crack it into pieces to enjoy it with family and friends.

My Advice with Other Variations to Try
- You can use chopped chocolate instead of chips as they have a non-melting coating which will help further to keep their shape.
- Avoid chocolates with a high percentage of cacao as they possess a tendency to become brittle and separate from the cracker layer.
- Don’t worry If your chocolate isn’t melting or spreading easily on the hot toffee in the sheet pan. Just use a hair dryer to re-melt the chocolate until it’s smooth.
- Prefer to cool overnight in the fridge (not the freezer). In freezing the layers get cool rapidly which can sometimes cause them to separate.
