- Combine the butter and sugar in a medium pot. Put it over medium-low heat and stir constantly until bubbling is seen.
- Remove the pan from heat and pour the above-prepared sugar-butter mixture on the saltine crackers. Spread it all over with a spatula very gently.
- Bake it in the oven (400 degrees F) for around 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of it. Let it stand for 5 minutes until the chocolate chips become shiny and bright.
- Now once the chocolate has melted completely, spread it smoothly all over with a spatula. You can top with any additional toppings if desired for an extra taste.
- Place in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to harden up and once it has been set peel away the foil gently.
